This was a brief that was given in first year of college. I was asked to create an advert for a chosen airline promoting something like leg room or a free gift i came up with reserving your seats. I was also asked to show how I created my advert by looking at other advertisements and showing my own ideas. I started at looking at adverts here are a few I looked at.
I analysed how these clever advertisements work well and why. I looked at some Thomas Cook adverts, explicit and implicit adverts and showing how brands advertise themselves such as on the football shirt. I also compared airline adverts using ryanair and etihad airlines, comparing different priced airlines.
I then went on to create my own adverts.

Because my promotional material was reserving a seat I thought of a seat with wings, my first idea was to have a airplane seat however changed this to a deck chair as they are also associated with holidays. I chose the same colour as the Thomas Cook logo for the deckchair and added the slogan 'Book today, reserve a seat and fly away with (logo) Thomas Cook'
This is one of my other ideas which was to have a fridge with a note reminder to reserve plane seats.

I first started with using a slanted fridge however it wasn't easy to read. On the note I used bullet points and on the reserve seats reminder i used the Thomas cook logo as a bullet point. Also using the logo as the fridge magnet.

I changed the angle of the fridge to front on, I also changed the magnet to a palm tree, representing holidays and I also added the logo. This advert is very implicit because first looking at the fridge you would not think it was an airline advert.
